After last week’s Float page, David dives inside his mind to escape the pain of his upcoming divorce. Anxiety has cost him another love and another beneficial relationship. His number one defense mechanism is to retreat inward.
Amanda, David’s soon-to-be ex-wife, offers some final words of encouragement. Every person has their breaking point. Anxiety doesn’t just affect its victim. It also affects its victim’s friends, relatives and lovers. Her words fall on deaf ears as David is already gone. He’s hidden himself in the warm glow of anxiety. He’s been abused by the illness so much that it’s now familiar and inviting. Anxiety is seductive and it’s finally won David’s full attention again.
The Float Kickstarter launches May 1st, 2017.
